Recently, the key projects under the Southeast Asia (Phnom Penh) Regional Management Center of China Communications Construction Road & Bridge Corporation have focused on addressing local community needs along the project route by establishing a dedicated traffic safety outreach team. The team conducted a "Traffic Safety Knowledge Enters Campus" initiative at N.R. KUNTHABOPHA School, delivering educational content through interactive sessions. Through concrete actions, the center demonstrated corporate care and actively fulfilled its social responsibilities.
At the event site, members of the publicity team, based on the actual construction situation, distributed traffic safety knowledge manuals to teachers and students, explained in detail the precautions when traveling on the construction section, and patiently answered the safety questions that students might encounter during their daily travel.
In light of the fact that there are many construction roads and heavy traffic around the campus, the presentation team focused on popularizing practical knowledge such as how to safely cross construction roads, identify traffic signals, and use vehicles correctly. To enhance the interactivity, the speakers also conducted on-site demonstrations and led students to simulate safe passage scenarios, allowing everyone to master safety skills in practice. Students actively participated, and the atmosphere was relaxed and lively.
In the activity summary, the school representative remarked, "This event has significantly enhanced the traffic safety awareness of teachers and students, particularly with regard to safety knowledge in construction zones, effectively addressing a gap in our routine education. We hope that China Communications Construction Road & Bridge Co., Ltd. will continue to prioritize campus traffic safety and provide sustained support for the safe mobility of students." The outreach session not only strengthened the capacity of teachers and students at schools along the route to identify and prevent traffic risks, but also contributed to improving the overall road safety environment surrounding the project, laying a solid foundation for fostering a "safe, orderly, and harmonious" community traffic environment.
As a key management platform through which China Communications Construction Road & Bridge Corporation advances its long-term presence in Southeast Asia, the Southeast Asia (Phnom Penh) Regional Management Center has consistently upheld the principle of "rooting in and serving local communities." While advancing infrastructure projects, the Center remains committed to enhancing local livelihoods. By conducting safety awareness campaigns and public welfare initiatives, it actively fulfills its corporate social responsibilities and contributes the strength of a central state-owned enterprise to the safe, sustainable, and harmonious development of project-affected communities.
